Sindh Mango Growers  Exporters is the Company of Growers owning mango orchards ofinternational standards being annually audited by the national and international bodies. The company is based in Hyderabad, Sindh which is around the mango growing area of the province and is 3 hours drive from Karachi port  international airport.. The orchards of SMGE orchards are situated in 5 districts of Sindh providing opportunity to make mangoes available through out the season.

SMGE, is a company with integrated operations from owning mango orchards to Export. Under the hood, the company has 1200 acres of mango orchards, about 5000 tons of mangoes, 5 pack houses, out of them three having Hot Water Treatment facilities. All farms are Global Gap Certified and pack houses are HACCP certified. The Social Compliance is work under process, and the SMETA audit is being planned. All the pack houses have grading, washing, forced air cooling, cold rooms, ripening rooms with stand by generators to maintain temperatures.

TECHNICAL COLLABORATION

SMGE remains thankful and humbled by the Colloration provided in development of the infrastructure on the farms. USAid partnered with SMGE growers to develop pack houses with all the required facilities and build capacity in acquiring certifications of international recognition.
SMGE has developed technical parameters to export mangoes via sea and air by working for 4 years with the expert team of ACIAR (Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research). The expert team from Australia worked closely with SMGE from harvesting to the destination, monitoring each every step. At the destination the mangoes were tested not only by the customers but also by the experts, the different quality parameters checked were taste, color, disease, firmness, remaining shelf life etc.
